HIVE Series for MacBook Air 13.6

I had just purchased a MacBook Pro 16 so was looking for a tough but good looking case. Well, I definitely found it! I REALLY like how it looks, it's clearly a quality product, and fits perfectly. It was very easy to put on and fits snugly/is secure. I especially like the little kick stands on the bottom to tilt up the keyboard. Compared to the other one I had there is simply no basis for comparison. It's very comfortable to type on now. Not sure about how long those foldable legs will last as they do seem a little lower quality compared to the rest of the case (I'm afraid at some point I'm going to manage to break one). Regardless, if you're on the fence about this case, jump off the fence onto the wonderful side. This is the case for you! Worth every simgle penny and then some! Bravo!

Update September 2025. Please take this one with a massive grain of salt. I still absolutely love this case. Still fits great (hasn't loosened or warped). It's still incredibly protective (I dropped my laptop twice now with no issue (don't let that lure you though, but is still a fact), and I have complete confidence in it. As feared, though, one of the legs broke. Again, take that with a huge grain of salt because I just seem to have an uncanny gift for finding (and exploiting) any possible weak point on any product that likely nobody else will have a problem with (so, Seymac, if you're ever looking to test durability on any of your products, I'm your guy). Still love this case! Trust me folks, you won't be disappointed in this case. Still a solid five stars for me!

I purchased this product solely based on the foldable feet on the bottom. I find myself in the living room with a lap desk on my lap and my MacBook on top of it. The feet allow a better angle for typing and playing games. Honestly, the product is a lot better than I initially thought. I do not personally feel that this product is worth the amount it is being sold for but I am basing that on quality and not the functionality. Quality-wise, it's a bit lacking in my opinion because at the end of the day it's just a bunch of plastic. But it does fit well and doesn't come off easily. The bottom hugs the laptop using a series of clipped edges and I do think it could be secured a little better but I recognize that if it were tighter, it would either break or not want to come off. It's snug enough and over all the product is worthy of 4 stars. Had the top piece been flat and not grooved or raised, I'd have given it 5 stars for sure. (Side note, that last bit was just my preference, I knew in advance what I was getting.)

The mousepad that comes with it is clever and has a series of Apple commands on it which is way more helpful than you might think. The little silicon keyboard cover is not at all helpful. It will come and shift the moment it's placed over the keys. I am currently using it a key cover when the laptop is closed just for protection. I mean, the MacBook was over two thousand dollars.

Great product! Well made and very durable! Totally recommend this!

I'm a fan of this MacBook case! I wanted something that would actually protect my laptop without making it feel bulky, and this has been perfect. I've had it for several months now, and it's holding up really well. It hasn't gotten loose, started wearing down, or had any pieces break off and I use my MacBook regularly. It still looks good and, most importantly, it's keeping my MacBook protected.

Definitely a solid purchase if you want protection without adding a bunch of bulk.

Case is grippy! Fit is perfect. Easy to open. Great quality. Can see Apple signage through case. Loved everything about it.

Good quality and sturdy case for my MacBook. A little heavier than expected but I feel confident that it'll offer the protection it claims. Much easier to snap into place and cheaper than my previous UAG case which was a nightmare to use and remove. Highly recommended.

Even though it is 360 protection, it is a slim profile slimmer than any military grade case the legs give enough lift to make it very comfortable to type on. I definitely appreciate the ability to fold the legs down, construction of this unit seems very sturdy and reliable.

Excellent fit and feels sturdy! Good value for money!

It's rare to get excited about a cover for my MacBook Pro. Almost every one I've ever bought was disappointing for some reason.

Not the case here.

It fits perfectly. Designed well to hug your MacBook snugly. The kickstands are a wonderful addition and really give this product an edge over others.

But the mouse pad with a bunch of different Mac OS shortcuts is a really terrific and unexpected perk. And the keyboard cover is perhaps the only keyboard cover where typing feels almost as good as without it.

I have no intention of trying out how it protects the computer if dropped. But it feels quite sturdy and I'm sure would help if it ever was dropped.

If you want a new cover for your 14 inch MacBook Pro, but this without hesitation.

This laptop case looks and feels like a solid fortress! The corners are super well protected, which is a huge plus. It fits the laptop perfectly, like it was made just for it. No wobbling or anything, it's all snug and secure. Definitely a great investment for my laptop!

The case is made with excellent quality and precision

Perfect fit for my MacBook Air

I recommend it

This thing is unbelievably good.

The case is well-designed, well-produced, and easy to install once you get over the initial fear of "popping" it on. And, the aesthetic is SO COOL. I got the lighter grey.

It's beautiful, light, and built strong. Apple makes beautiful products which I appreciate, and initially was reluctant to change the look of my laptop. The first day, could feel the bit of bulk and weight it added, but I was very relieved to have the protection. After a day or two, I was still marveling at how handsome it was, but not noticing any added size or weight at all. All these months later, I took the case off, just to remember how life used to be, and I gotta say, I don't like it as much. I'm fully on board with SEYMAC, and it takes nothing away from the Mac user experience!

I am picky about quality (namely when it comes to protective cases covering treasured items) and I can tell you with the deepest satisfaction, this is one of the best investments I have ever made. It can bump light bumps and bangs easily and stays on securely even with a lot of travel, and during frequent walks across the house (picking it up setting it down repeatedly).

Not once has the case come loose, and not ONCE has my laptop gotten warm with it on. The bottom "grates" and little feet rule (though I rarely use the feet, I used to use them a lot).

I waited six months to write a review, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Perfect fit, sold grip and snug fit, definitely not loose like others mention. I have a 2024 14" MacBook Pro and this fit it perfectly. Love that this case has no fingerprints that get on it, great design and not worried about the extra weight. I got the black color and this is a really easy item to clean, grip, carry around, take from room too room and pack in my backpack. Definitely scratch resistant and a perfect way to protect my investment and actually the first time getting a case for my MacBook. I absolutely love the lip on the lid that makes it easier to open because it was a bit of a pain to open without the case. Definitely a keeper. Oh and the kick stand offers a nice adjustment when I keep it next to my extra monitor to line up better for two screens.
